That’s Not Creepy At All: Canon’s New ELPH Camera Helps You Photograph People While They Sleep
by Michelle L. Dozois on January 11, 2012In the market for a new digital camera? Perhaps you’d be interested in Canon’s two new PowerShot ELPH cameras, the ELPH 520 HS and the ELPH 110 HS.
It comes with lots of cool features! Like, “If an unfamiliar face (perhaps that of a stranger) appears in the background, it won’t receive focus priority.” So, no photobombers. Check.
Oh, and: “A Sleeping Face Recognition mode will turn off the flash, assist beam and camera sound if it detects that you’re attempting to photograph someone as they sleep.”
I suppose photographing, say, a sleeping baby is sweet — but my mind immediately went to creepy “I WATCH YOU WHILE YOU SLEEP” places.

Just me?
