When Is It Okay To Bring Someone You’re Dating To A Wedding?
by Chiara Atik on August 22, 2011
Kim Kardashian got married over the weekend, in what was hailed as the “American Royal Wedding.” (Really, America? We can do better.)
Kim’s half-brother, Brody Jenner, brought Avril Lavigne as his date to the wedding. The pair have been dating for over a year, but this is the first time we’ve seen Avril make an appearance with the Kardashian family en masse.
Weddings, especially family weddings, can be stressful for a date, especially if it’s the first time your date is meeting a bunch of friends or relatives. Additionally, because the bride and groom have to pay for each attendee, there’s sometimes the implication that whoever you bring is someone you’re serious about. But for some people, bringing a date to a wedding isn’t laden with significance at all.
What do you guys think? Who is it okay, and not okay, to bring to a wedding?
